The Half Marathon that I've been looking at also has a 10K... And I think I might be tempted to run that instead. This past month has been terrible for my running dreams. (The kids were sick, so I couldn't go to the YMCA, I was sick, I didn't make healthy meals, etc) So I'm just running a couple miles. I'll get up to 4 regularly in the next couple weeks, but a 10K (what is that, 6.2 miles?) sounds infinitely more achievable than 13.1 miles.
BUT.
If you really want, I'll just keep training for where I am, and suck it up and start fulfilling my dreams. :)
I'm not sure which I would be happier doing. I think my training will be the same, though. I think I'll be at a place where 6 miles is definitely do-able, and 13 looks scary...but so much more satisfying afterward.
So, I guess I'm just saying I might sort of chicken out. And "only" run a 10K. But, than again, maybe not. There's still time. :)
